In the world of recruiting and the draft, here are some noteworthy news items from this week…2016 RHP Alec Marsh (Reagan College Prep, WI) has blossomed into one of Wisconsin’s top arms in an already deep class of prospects. He has been making steady progress in the last year and sat 90-91 mph, touching 92, at the Madison Preseason ID showcase last weekend. He has good athleticism that makes him an attractive two-way prospect, but his mound presence and command of the zone gives him more upside as a pitcher. He is young in the face and has room to fill out his 6-foot-2, 200-pound frame. Marsh has seen a ton of interest from colleges in recent weeks, hearing from a long list of schools. He lists his favorites as Florida, Georgia, Illinois State, Kentucky, North Carolina and Vanderbilt.
