Alec Marsh is a 2016 RHP/3B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Milwaukee, WI who attends Reagan College Prep. Large frame with lean, athletic build and solid present strength, still projects to fill out nicely. Easy, well-paced leg lift delivery with slight hip turn at apex and nice, loose arm-action. Works to an overhand armslot, will occasionally land with closed front foot, generally repeats mechanics well. Fastball up to 90 mph, generates big downhill plane and angle from high slot, hard to square up pitch when located down in the zone. Changeup was a devastating pitch, showed big dive and was thrown with very good armspeed, offering falls off table and disappears late. Flashes feel for low-70s curveball with 11/5 shape and solid depth. Very good performance on the mound with impressive feel for pitching. Right handed hitter, starts with a wide base and high hand set. Toe-tap timing trigger, rotational swing, shows some feel for barrel. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Arizona State University.

Arrowhead, which had taken the state by storm in its first season of spring ball, finished 27-2. The Warhawks have seven Division I players on its roster and Alec Marsh handled them all.
The junior right hander struck out 10 and allowed five hits for the Huskies. Earlier in the day his double in the eighth inning was the difference in a 1-0 victory over City Conference rival Riverside.
Junior right-hander Alec Marsh of Reagan allowed just four runners to get as far as second base. Marsh also held the Warhawks to five hits, their lowest total of the season.
“Their kid threw well,” said AHS coach Vince Mancuso. “We knew that was going to be the guy we were going to see. From the get-go, we knew he would be tough.”

The 5-0 win came in a sectional final match, with the Huskies handing Arrowhead one of the only two losses the team had all season. Reagan is the first MPS baseball team to make state since the Riverside University High School Tigers in 2009.
