Fall Ball Recap

I’ve been very busy this autumn. Fall Ball began back in early August and I’ve played all over the midwest, against a much higher level of competition than I saw most of the summer. Much to my surprise, PT invited me to move up and play with the U17 team. I saw faster pitchers, better batters and tougher competition. Despite all of this, I found my stats improving dramatically.

I hit five home runs in the Fall season and I had one of the best RBI averages in the organization. I was placed as the 5 hitter in the line up, and was able to make a lot of runs, when we really needed them.

I also saw a lot of improvement on the mound. I pitched a perfect game, and brought my walk ratio way down. I spent more time with Cody ( my head coach ) on speed, strength and form. I finally threw over 90 mph for the first time in my life at the Sandlot ( our practice space ). I was clocked consistently in the mid 80s at many of our games, and my pitch diversity has really gotten much better.

I ended the Fall with a trip to the Prep Baseball Report Southern Wisconsin Open, in Oconomowoc this weekend. I was pleased with my offensive stats, and I was able to hit 88 mph on the mound, and sat at 87 throughout the showcase. I’m excited to get my stats back from PBR
